Job Description: Responsible for Business Development for the Quintiles Consulting Regulatory and Quality Practice Group and also promotion of the other global practices within Quintiles Consulting (Market Access, Product Commercialisation, Due Diligence). The EU R&Q group is mainly focussed on the Medical Device Market; globally it includes Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Quality
Although based out our Bracknell office, the post would be essentially home/field based and will predominantly require travel in Europe and potential travel to other regions
Main Responsibilities:
• The main focus of role will be as a new business winner, who will be responsible for
growing and managing new consulting business within both the UK and European Markets
• Manage the whole sales process from identifying market opportunities through to contract
• Provide an interface with consultants and customers (external and internal customers), throughout the sales process, project delivery and financial closure
• Working with global BD team in developing sales strategy for all of Quintiles Consulting
Qualifications
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
A highly marketable resource who is recognized as a Business Development professional, not only within the company, but within the external market in which his/her specialty is practiced. Through his/her expert technical knowledge capabilities, the BD Manager makes significant contributions to business development activities (e.g., firm visibility, etc) and sales. The BD Manager Consultant should be a strategic thinker and experienced in managing client relationships and entire engagements. They require:
• A proven track record in delivering results through direct sales and account management
management.
• Experience in selling solutions to senior level decision makers across industry sectors.
Must have the ability to open doors and establish new relationships, and to close sales
• Be an effective communicator, able to work with, and provide solutions within organizations at all levels. Good presentation skills essential
• You will have some technical understanding which will mean that you will be able to provide some level of technical insight to clients, but will also work closely with supporting consultants to provide the optimal approach to presenting to clients and closure of business
• A minimum of 5 years experience of selling consulting services within the Healthcare sector
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Working (high level) knowledge of Quality and Regulatory requirements for Medical Technology
• Process optimisation delivery
• Account and project management skills
• Post Marketing (Device Vigilance) and Pre/Post Marketing (Device Clinicals) knowledge.
• Market access skills including Health Outcomes/Post market clinical requirements for medical devices/IVD’s for both developed and emerging markets.
