Job Description:

Classification: Non-Benefit Eligible

Duties: Recruit and work towards student retention for the Benedictine University Pep Band (a 20 plus member ensemble organized to provide music for activities in the Athletic Department). The Benedictine University Pep Band will also serve as a medium for student-performers to grow and develop performance skills while encountering team work and service to others. Other job responsibilities will include: contacting potential Pep Band players through email, social media (e.g., Twitter and Facebook), or phone; maintaining record of recruiting efforts; recruiting efforts; recruiting at least ten quality members annually; coordinating auditions with the Department of Music’s Director.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music (or professional equivalency).

Experience: At least 5 years of Pep Band/Jazz Band/or Concert Band conducting/directing experience at a secondary and/or post-secondary level (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Working Conditions: Work schedule will have varying hours.
