Hiring NOW for:

1. Independent contractors. Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, Creole translators and transcriptionists. Must be U.S. citizen or legal resident without any history of arrest; fluent in language and English. Must be certified by a state court interpreter\’s program or hold ATA or federal certification. Prefer independent contractors with errors and omissions insurance, but not required. Fingerprint criminal background check with FBI and state police is required. 2. Independent contractors to perform transcription of law enforcement and/or business audio files who can pick up work at least a few times a week and work on larger files of about 50 to 60 minutes of audio, as well. Do not fax resume. Send all information and questions to the e-mail address below.

3. Independent contractors (either court reporters, note readers or other court transcript typists) who live in the D.C. area to pick up work and transcribe court proceedings from audio recordings. Contractors must be able to handle some daily, next day, and two-day copy. They must be able to print, bind and deliver transcript. Contractors must have at least one full year of experience typing court proceedings. References required. Inquire at the e-mail address below.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND: For security reasons, you must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. You must be able to undergo FBI and state police fingerprint, criminal background checks, at your own expense. Your native language must be English. You must be a native English speaker, (unless you are applying for translation work and then you must also be a U.S. citizen and be completely fluent in the languages you are certified in as well as English.) We are also looking for those fluent and certified in Portuguese, Creole, Haitian, Southeast Asian languages. State your charges in the resume or email.

We do not hire beginners. We seek experienced transcriptionists only. Because we are a small company, we do not have the staff to train.
