Job Description:
One of our financial clients located in Mississauga is looking for a Web Developer for an initial six month engagement. Below I have included a more detailed job description.
As a key member of the middleware and messaging team, the Web Analyst will be primarily responsible for designing web based solutions for intranet/internet purposes, software documentation and requirements gathering. This role requires the technical expertise of a web developer along with the responsibilities of a technical writer. In addition to writing, editing and communication expertise, this position requires someone with strong web content development and analysis skills who works well in a deadline-driven environment.
The Web Analyst will work closely with the project team and other business units to make content updates for our clients internally supported accessible web sites in support of campaigns, new product launches and other initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for consulting on new technologies to help keep web pages current in the on-line space.
As part of this team, prime responsibility will be to:
¿ Create a new website for Software Solutions Engineering teams, including the automation of several manual process, producing associated metrics and integrating with other internal sites of the clients.
- Ensure that sites are maintained to the highest quality (including fixing broken links, optimizing images, etc).
- Consult with production manager and other partners to obtain a clear understanding of requirements.
- Provide analysis and design solutions for new web content requests/enhancements in order to identify specific tasks required for the initiative and provide time/cost estimates for web production.
- Deliver effective defect management, acting on Severity 1 and 2 defects in a timely fashion.
- Monitor competitor websites and new technologies.
¿ Planning, designing, creating, editing and reviewing original documentation and training materials for new software products, within a set schedule, with high degree of quality and in accordance with internal style guides.
- Recommend new initiatives to Production Manager which add functionality and value to customers\’ web experiences.
- Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Expertise in Microsoft suite of tools including but to limited to SharePoint.
- Javascript
