Job Description:
This position works closely with the business users to resolve their daily application issues. Application Support analyst troubleshoots and develops technical solutions related to software, environmental, configuration and setup errors. Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal development resources. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a support organization.
As a member of the technical IT staff, this position is the corporate expert maintaining WMS software product from Manhattan Associates. As such he or she is skilled in using both resources inside and outside of the company to accomplish objectives. With the technical acumen that the individual brings to the position, he or she often works to ensure that this application system is meeting all requirements of the customers. The individual in this role is capable of dealing with very complex software coding, configuration and maintenance issues in order to achieve a negotiated level of service for the business Experience:
- 3+ years experience with Manhattan Systems Warehouse Management Open System
- 5 years experience in supporting IS applications
- 4+ years experience in supporting retail applications
Skills and Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of SQL
- Proficient with UNIX, Linux, Windows Server OS, scripting
- Proficient with Oracle 10g Database Technology
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction toward project objectives
- Ability to work successfully as the member of a cross-functional team
- Ability to solicit information and assistance from contributors throughout the organization
- Demonstrates consistent commitment and initiative toward producing business solutions for the company
