Job Description:

Ameritraining is searching for Work-at-Home Consumer Solutions Representatives to serve as sales representatives for CenturyLink (formerly Embarq). They will be an integral part of the team as they will be the front line voice to the customers. In this role the candidate will be responsible for fielding inbound calls from potential and existing customers and selling Telecommunications products and services. They will sell products such as Local Residential and Long Distance Services, High Speed Internet, Video, and Bundled Packages. Customer service and support responsibilities include performing credit reviews, establishing accounts in the billing system, and providing solutions to a variety of inquiries.

This is a CONTRACT TO HIRE position and initially pays $10.50 per hour PLUS COMMISSIONS. Our client will consider hiring you full-time after 3+ months. In addition to base pay, Consumer Solutions Representatives are assigned monthly sales quotas and must maintain customer service quality expectations for additional commission incentive programs. There are 8 week training classes scheduled to begin throughout the month of August, and will be presented virtually over the Internet. The next class begins 8/16/10.

NOTE: Candidates will need to provide their own computer equipment, have a high speed Internet connection, live in the legacy Embarq area. You must either already subscribe to CenturyLink/Embarq service or be willing to sign up immediately. Headset and phone will be provided at the completion of the New Hire training and employee phone/internet concession will apply.

Required Skills:

* Ability to meet and exceed monthly sales quotas
* Terrific oral and written communication skills
* Strong customer focus and customer service experience
* Excellent punctuality and work attendance history
* Proficient PC Windows-based computer skills
* Proficient in multi-tasking within several PC computer applications and databases
* Able to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured environment
* Must be flexible to work various shifts, including Saturdays, evenings and holidays as necessary
* Pass drug screen and background check

Strongly Preferred Skills:

* Prior sales experience in a customer-facing environment
* Experience in an inbound or outbound call center

Additional Work-at-Home Requirements:

* Highly self-motivated, able to work successfully with limited supervision
* Must have a dedicated work place in your home or work location (free of background noise and distractions)
* Must live within the legacy Embarq phone service area
* Must subscribe to Embarq/CenturyLink voice and high speed internet services
* Must be able to provide own Windows-based PC (see below)

As a Work at Home employee, you are responsible for obtaining your own computer system and home office, consistent with the requirements described below:

* PC with a minimum of Windows XP, 1.5 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, USB Webcam, DVD reader.
* A headset, phone and amplifier will be provided.
* Your PC should have the latest virus & spyware software.
* Must have EMBARQ telephone service.
* Must have EMBARQ High Speed Internet Service, minimum speed (1.5 mbps).
* EMBARQ OnLine Security tools or Security tools provided by another HSI provider. (Does not include trial software)
* Wireless routers are not to be used with your HSI service (must connect to router with ethernet cable).
* Cable and satellite access is not approved.
