The Role

We are looking for a bad ass User Experience Designer who can empower customers around the world to tell their stories through video. The right candidate brings a track record of delivering conceptual designs, information architecture, and visual design skills. The Director of User Experience will help build software tools that deliver a seamless experience from our hands-free video camera through to our online social platform, which means you must be able to range from strategic product discussions down to the smallest interaction details. You will have the opportunity to build products for fellow outdoor enthusiasts and legendary brands such as Fox Shox, Absinth Films, and Ducati. A passion for creating simple experiences, an ability to collaborate with a team, and a humble approach are all skill you need.

Responsibility:

Refine and deeply understand our customer needs

Define user experience at every step of consumer interaction, serving as an advocate for the end-user
*

Drive and create all phases of the process, including conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
*

Work closely with software developers to implement final products
*

Define and maintain visual representation of the brand

Skills

*

Ability to collaborate with software engineers
*

A true passion for UX with a track record of creating simple experiences
*

Is comfortable being involved from concept through to product delivery
*

A deep technical understanding of software is a plus

Experience Required

*

BS or MS in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or comparable degree/experience.
*

5+ years of UI experience with desktop software or complex Web applications, with a focus on user centered design.
*

Proficiency HTML/CSS and knowledge of other Web technologies

Experience in end to end design (concept to execution)

Design experience with complex data models
