Job Description:
Bronxville-Eastchester Patch, a local community news website for
Bronxville, Tuckahoe and Eastchester in Westchester County is looking for
enthusiastic and knowledgeable reporters to cover education in the three
communities.
Assignments can range from covering Board of Ed meetings to profiling
local educators to features on students and news coming out of the schools.
Freelancers are encouraged to pitch ideas as well. Previous reporting
experience is a must and knowledge of photography and video is a plus.
Applicant must have access to a car and should be based in Westchester
County or nearby. There is also an opportunity to write about non-education related topics if interested.
Payment is per article and ranges from $50 and up, with a higher fee for
stories that include photos, video and in-depth reporting.
